Commentaries - Grisaille Alla Prima Demonstration Final 01
A demonstration in pushing paint around a canvas until something appears... I thought I'd attempt experimenting again, with a medium I have little to no experience with (but I do like it a lot, so I hopefully there'll be further opportunities :3.) This is my second grisaille, alla prima attempt (and my fifth work in oils.) This took a little longer than the first/previous work, but I learnt a lot (chief of which is that vodka is a terrible paint thinner, and soaking the canvas in cheap spirits only worsens it :P.) The video is a lot of fighting with the spirit I used, but there is a process in amongst it all :3. Thank you for watching guys! Further tutorials, and demonstrations to come. All the best.
